The Sword in the Stone-Sir Kay was the foster brother to King Arthur, and a son to Sir Ector. He was a knight and young Arthur was his squire. Arthur was told to get him a sword to use, but when he came back he had with him the The Sword of the Sword. Sir Kay claimed that he had pulled the sword so he could be king because he thought that if young Arthur could, than he could. But Sir Kay failed to pull it from the stone.
Legacy-When Arthur became king he had Sir Kay as one of his knights. Kay had always been arogant person. In some stories, Sir Kay's rude insults inspire a hero to try to prove him wrong. Despite his rude personality, Kay holds an honorable position (being a knight at the round table)!
